ROARK is currently seeking a Design/Motion Graphics Intern for the Spring 2017 Semester.
This is an opportunity for a design/animation student to experience working in an interdisciplinary studio environment. The ideal candidates should be a strong designer and illustrator and/or 2D/3D motion graphics animator.
The way we approach work tends to involve new ways of figuring things out that we haven’t necessarily done before. Sometimes we will design for 2D while others we will animate in AE. We also will shoot live-action plates and composite. 3D and experiential projections are also becoming a big point of interest for the studio.
As such, this internship is best suited for an individual that is looking to develop multiple skill sets, instead of just a singular focus.
This person must exhibit a hard work ethic, innate sense of curiosity, and a great sense of timing. A great attitude and desire to learn are both essential qualities, as the studio will be investing a lot of time into teaching this person.
Other qualifications and responsibilities include:
Design experience using Photoshop and Illustrator. Good sketching skills are a plus.
Animation experience using After Effects. Cinema 4D and traditional animation are a plus. Additional skill sets employing alternate programs always welcome.
Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and good attitude in a collaborative studio.
Interns work closely with us and will be involved in many internal and commercial projects spanning animation, projection mapping, interior, graphic, industrial and motion design.
