Notes on Doing and ROARK are proud to present an on-going partnership to produce NODdocs, a series of short documentaries on people who are passionate about, talented at, and original in what they do.
As the series is ongoing this page will update with each new interview and behind-the-scenes action shots (featuring the people behind NOD) from Notes on Doing’s Instagram.
ROARK sought to capture the importance of establishing a human connection during an interview. The best interviews are those where the subject is able to open up, trust the person asking them questions, and ultimately be themselves.
To create the logotype ROARK captured the handwriting of Notes on Doing’s Creator and Host Jenna Matecki of Matecki & Co. by having her write out the name of the series multiple times in a plain notebook. Of several hundred versions, the final words were selected and grouped together to form the logotype.
Each video in the series will be hosted on Vimeo’s platform due to their ease of video sharing by the end user, their excellent customer service and performance record. Really, we recommend everyone use them.
The original website to house the video series was set up by ROARK apprentice, Jiwon Shin. She customized a WordPress installation to better suit the presentation format we were looking for and also work out a few kinks in the original code.
Although Adrian Letechipia of ROARK is creative directing the series, the full production process of these interviews is a collaborative passion project of many. A special thank you goes out to everyone who has been helping us make the Notes on DoingNODDocs happen both within the ROARK tribe and beyond.
The Notes on DoingNODDocs continue to be one of the most rewarding projects that ROARK has had the privilege of putting our energy behind.
